Hand-cut dovetail joints are a hallmark of fine craftsmanship.
The dovetail joint is a traditional method used by cabinetmakers to join the ends of two boards together. Old-time craftsman cut these joints by hand using a dovetail saw and chisel. Today, hand-cut dovetails are a hallmark of fine craftsmanship.
This workshop will cover applications for dovetail joinery, procedures for working safely with hand tools, and time-honored techniques for laying-out and cutting dovetail joints.
All tools and materials will be provided.
